Shosei-en Garden In Kyoto - A Beautiful Japanese Garden To Visit

by Ross L
(South Australia)

A short walk NE of JR is the walled garden run by Honganji temple.
The modest entry fee of 500 yen (as of April 2010) includes a colour souvenier booklet.

This wonderful garden gives the impression it is far into the country were it not for the power lines visible outside.

It opens at 09:00 and closes at 16:00. Well worth a visit.
