Short Trip Around Tokyo

Wondering about a short trip around Tokyo?

I took this video as my first test of my new purchased Canon HD camera in 2008. The purpose of this video was to show a little bit of everyday life in Tokyo starting from the ticket gates, which are specific to Japan.

I wanted to show streets and people commuting everyday to work, also always clean trains inside and outside, TVCMs and arrival time to each station displayed over exit doors. Shibuya, in the middle of business day always full of people walking around. Akihabara, electric town always noisy but exciting. Ginza, brand shops town.

The sound of Yamanote line...

Already on Wave so just adding a comment to say that I loved the bits filmed in a Yamanote line train where you can hear the next station tannoy anoucements. This has to be the most Tokyoite of sounds...

Now I want to go back to Tokyo!
