Shinjuku Gyoen in the Springtime

by Honor
(Tokyo)

This is my visit to Shinjuku Gyoen in early March 2009. It really is a beautiful garden and it's large. It's often hard to believe that in the middle of a big city like Tokyo you can escape from the streets and find some peace and tranquility.

In springtime there are plants bursting into flower all over the garden. You can also see the ducks and the coy carp in the ornamental ponds around the park (sorry I didn't get them in this video).

If you get the chance and you need a break from the city this is a great place to visit for an hour or two and take a leisurely stroll.

I'm coming to Tokyo next month and I know it will be a different season but thanks for the video. I will definitely try and visit this garden!
