Ritz Carlton Tokyo Restaurant - Kaiseki Dining
The Ritz Carlton Tokyo restaurant choices offer something for most people, but if you're looking for that special Japanese restaurant experience then we strongly recommend checking out Hinokizaka on the 45th floor.
Designed in a traditional Japanese style, Hinokizaka gives you the chance to try an excellent (at least we think so) kaiseki course meal.
Ritz Carlton Hinokizaka Dinner Menu
So what exactly is a kaiseki style Japanese meal?
On the right you can see the menu that we were lucky enough to be served when we celebrated with a meal here in September 2009.
Kaiseki ryori is, in essence, a set menu where you will be brought a series of Japanese dishes including all the traditional favorites. You will almost certainly find some sushi, sashimi and tempura on the menu at some stage.
Not all menus are the same however, same as all chefs are not the same. The Ritz Carlton Tokyo restaurant certainly came out as one of the best I have tried for kaiseki dining.
Add in the views from the 45th floor and this is also a great location for a romantic meal for two.
On a clear day you can catch some great views of Tokyo and the mountains that surround Tokyo. If you're a lover of city night scenes then this Ritz Carlton Tokyo restaurant will not disappoint.
Add in the fact that Michelin awarded the Hinokizaka some of its highly coveted stars in 2009 and this is a difficult restaurant to beat. If you're on a budget then be warned the menu is not cheap, but if you're looking for a special place with a special menu the Ritz Carlton Tokyo can certainly meet your needs.
Opening hours as of September 2009 are:
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Dinner: 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Please do check for any changes in times at the Hinokizaki web page. For reservations and inquiries, call 0120-798-688.
