Hi,

I am going to visit Tokyo Disneyland but I will be staying at a hotel near Narita Airport. Can you tell me how long is the journey from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland?

Hello Win Win,

Thanks for contacting us with your question. You're going to be staying in one of my personal favorite areas, Narita. It may not be in the heart of the city but it's easy enough to get here and Narita itself has lots going on : )

Ok, to answer your question, here's how to get from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland.

There are buses that go straight from either terminal at Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland.

Tokyo Disneyland Western Saloon

At Terminal 1 the bus leaves from bus stop number 7. From Terminal 2, the bus leaves from bus top number 11. It takes about 1 hour from either terminal to get to Disneyland and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride as you go.

For adults the cost is 2,400 JPY (one-way) and for children it's 1,200 JPY (one-way).

For more info see this Disneyland official page.

You can also see this page for some information about taking the train if you prefer this to the bus. See our Tokyo Disneyland travel guide page.

I hope this helps you Win Win. If you need anything else just send us a new comment on your post and we're happy to help : )

Narita a good area to stay.
by: Chris A. Australia

Konichi-wa and thankyou for your comments and hope my information can be useful to travellers seeking transport to Disney from Narita. My wife and I enjoyed very much our stay and chose the Garden Hotel at Narita (very good hotel) to avoid confusion in Tokyo City, this being our first trip from Australia to Japan. May I also add, it is a wonderful country with lovely people, and we were made so welcome everywhere and nothing was to much trouble.
I thought staying at Narita was a good choice too, and found transport and shuttle buses from hotel very handy to and from the airport to connect with buses and trains. We will be back in a few months to explore Tokyo city and more sightseeing, and of course visit Disney parks again. The Disneyland hotels at Urayasau are very expensive and booked up to 12 months in advance, for us Narita was perfect, and the bus and train fares were reasonable indeed. There may be hotels closer like Maihama and Toko out of Tokyo that may be a better choice to be closer to Tokyo city, but getting there and finding them can somewhat complicated, thats why we chose Narita.
Happy travels and enjoy Japan.

Chris I personally love Narita. As you say many places are accessible from there and the town itself is a great place! If you happen to come back in April - usually around the 10th and 11th, whenever that weekend falls on the calendar - they have the most amazing taiko festival there. Well worth seeing if you get the chance : )

Thanks again for sharing this great information!

More info on Narita To Disneyland.

I should mention also, buses start at 8.05am from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea. There may be other services but the one we used departed at 11.05am, as we missed the 9.05am, due to getting lost at the terminal! Therefore cut our time down by a lot because of the delay. There is no 10.05 am departure. May have been better to have gone the next day and got the 8.05am bus..as you do need more than 6 hours at Disneyland..unless you return by train at a later time...that just touches the surface and not a lot of time to see and do much. But the experience was wonderful. Great viewing on the bus of Tokyo Bay and surrounds of Tokyo city too.
The drivers are very polite and buses very comfortable and air conditoned. We decided to go by train to Disney Sea a couple of days later from Narita station. Got our tickets, right platform, fast train and clean, started getting very full halfway down the line, and we had to change lines at some point, missed the first one, and were going back to where we had been! Finally got there and went onto monorail to Disney Sea..it costs 250ypp but the views are great. We then got the monorail back to Disneyland to get bus back to Narita, where we had earlier from Disneyland..not knowing the bus also picked up at Disney Sea!Always check with people, most will understand where you want to go and are very helpful, as we found out. The information from Narita station information booth actually gave us a little incorrect information!! But didn't spoil any part of the trip, it was all an exciting experience and loved it. Limousine Buses timetables are online. We will be well prepared next time and can't wait to get back to Japan, in a few months.

Narita to Disneyland
by: Chris A

Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea from Narita airport by bus in under an hour. Non stop express service along the Tokyo freeway. Departing regularly and 9.10am and 11.05am direct to Disneyland main entrance. To return by bus the last one departing is at 6.05pm, and pay fare on arrival at Narita airport terminal. To stay later at Disney you would need to connect by train to return to Narita, and this involves changing a couple of times during the train journey, and can be a bit complicated. We tried the JR from Narita on our trip to Disney Sea and trains are clean, and fast, it takes a bit of working out where to change. We returned from Disney Sea by bus to ensure we had no problems. Best idea if using buses get their early for a full day at either or both parks. Just need a bus leaving Disney around 9pm would be excellent and hope that will be the case when we return to Tokyo next year.

Chris thank you for sharing this information. It's great to know the bus service is good and an easier alternative to the train. Especially useful to a first time traveler I think. Maybe we can start a petition for them to add some more buses running later in the evening ; ) I hope it is a reality the next time you come. It makes sense after all and I'm sure there are many who would use the service!

Kudos to you for sharing : )
