Akasaka Prince Hotel Tokyo Information
The Akasaka Prince Hotel in Tokyo is situated in one of the oldest parts of the city which became famous for its entertainment districts and geisha performances during the Edo period in Japan. The area still has many cultural activities and traditional cultural events that you can participate in if you happen to be visiting at the right time of year. Check our Japanese calendar and Japanese festivals pages for more information.
On that note, if you are going to stay at the Grand Prince Akasaka, it is worth finding out what's on at the National Theater of Japan. It is only a 5 minute walk away and often hosts kabuki performances or other traditional forms of Japanese culture and arts.
I was lucky enough once to get tickets to go and see Eitetsu Hayashi in a taiko drum concert. It was truly fantastic and I can't recommend it highly enough if you ever get the chance to see him perform!
The Akasaka Prince Hotel Tokyo is outstanding in its own right for the 15 restaurants and bars that can be found in the building. They have an excellent steak house for all you meat lovers out there as well as great choice of Japanese cuisine including some fine Kaiseki dining. If that's not enough, how about French or Chinese? Or you can try the cakes and pastries that are readily on offer - and fresh to boot : )
The Akasaka Prince Hotel Tokyo also boasts the usual array of tempting treats that you would expect to find in a five star hotel of this caliber. Visit the Relaxia Salon on the fifth floor to savor the delights of the Oxygen Bar or get a soothing massage at the end of the day to ensure a good and peaceful sleep.
